Methodist Women Place Sixth at Wofford Invitational
Inclement weather canceled second round

SPARTANBURG, SC-  The Diet Coke Wofford Invitational started Monday with the nine teams playing 18 holes of round and the first nine holes of round two in an attempt to finish the tournament before weather hit, but lightning halted the tournament Tuesday morning. Elon was declared the tournament champion with a 307 while Methodist placed sixth a with 323.

Sophomore Susan Martin tied for third place with a 76 while senior Katie Dick tied for 15th with a 79. Freshman Paige Caldwell shot an 82 while junior Sara Dickson shot an 86. Freshman Gretchen McLean shot an 88 for the Monarchs.

The Monarchs will host SUNY Cortland on Monday.
