McGonagle Honored as USA South Athlete of the Week
Methodist student-athlete chosen for second time this season

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  The USA South has announced their athletes of the week.  The conference gives an award for Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for each sport active during the week.

Lauren McGonagle has been named the USA South Lacrosse Player of the Week.  The Burlington, Vermont senior midfielder led the Monarchs to a 15-12 win over USA South rival Shenandoah in the team's only action last week. McGonagle scored five goals and added three assists in the win. She also collected three ground balls and eight draw controls as Methodist secured the third seed in the upcoming USA South Lacrosse Tournament.  Methodist will host NC Wesleyan on Tuesday in a quarterfinal game scheduled for 4 pm.
