Mike Hill, a junior from Angier, NC has been
selected as the USA South Football Offensive
Player of the Week. Hill had 30 carries
for 187 yards in the win against Ferrum on
Saturday. Hill became only the second
player in Monarch history to surpass 2,000
career yards rushing on his 68-yard touchdown
run in the third quarter. The football
team will travel to Christopher Newport this
Saturday to play at 1 pm. Junior Desmond Keane helped to lead the men's soccer team to a 2-0-1 record this week with a double overtime tie against nationally ranked NC Wesleyan, a 3-0 win against St. Mary's and a 1-0 victory over Shenandoah. A defender from St. Petersburg, FL, Keane scored both goals against NC Wesleyan to send the game into overtime and tarnish the Bishops 12 game winning streak. The Monarchs stand at 12-2-1 overall and will travel to Randolph-Macon on Thursday. |
