Parks, Bradley and Roberson Honored as
USA South Athletes of the Week
Bradley and Roberson ranked top two scorers
in the conference
FAYETTEVILLE, NC-
The USA South has announced their athletes of
the week for all fall sports. The conference
gives an award for Player of the Week and Rookie
of the Week for each sport active during the
week.
Freshman quarterback Brandon Parks has been
selected as the USA South Offensive Rookie of
the Week. Originally from Tallahassee, FL,
Parks rushed for 58 yards including a 3-yard
touchdown run in the first quarter against
Maryville. He went 13-for-19 passing for a
career-high 228 yards and two touchdowns.
The Monarchs will host Greensboro on Saturday at
1 pm.
Women's soccer player Chrystal Bradley has been
named the women's soccer Athlete of the Week for
the third consecutive week this season. A
native of Fairfax, VA, Bradley scored three
goals and registered two assists against Ferrum
College on Saturday.
Bradley broke the record for individual goals in
a season with 31 goals.
Whitney Roberson, a freshman women's soccer
player from Kitty Hawk, NC has been named the
Rookie of the Week for the third time this
season. Roberson tallied two goals and two
assists against Ferrum on Saturday.
Roberson's 22 goals rank her second in the USA
South only trailing teammate Bradley. The
women's soccer team finished their regular
season undefeated in conference play and will
host Peace College Tuesday at 11:30 am for the
first round of the USA South Athletic Conference
Tournament.
