Monarchs Offense Quiets Averett Rally
Bradley, Bledsoe and Roberson all score for Methodist

DANVILLE, VA-  The Monarchs started things off with a 2-0 lead after goals by junior Chrystal Bradley and freshman Meredith Bledsoe in the first half.  Averett tied things up 15 minutes into the second half, but the Monarchs went on a four goal spree to win the game 6-2.  The Monarchs move to 5-2 and 2-0 in the USA South.

With the score tied 2-2 and a little under 30 minutes to play, Bradley scored the eventual game-winner on a penalty kick after a Chowan foul in the box.  Freshman Whitney Roberson then took over scoring her third career hat trick in the course of 13 minutes.  Freshman Christina Layson assisted Bradley's first goal while Bradley assisted Roberson's final goal.

The Monarchs will travel to Piedmont to face the Lions at 1 pm on Sunday.
