Women's Soccer Wins First Conference Game 8-0
Freshman Faye Charles tallies a goal and an assist

RALEIGH, NC-  The Monarchs earned their first USA South win of the season with an 8-0 victory over Peace College. Methodist used a 4-0 halftime lead to barrel through the second half for the win. The Monarchs move to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference while Peace stands at 1-5-1 overall and 0-1 in the USA South.

Senior Chrystal Bradley opened the floodgates with a goal on the assist from freshman Faye Charles. Bradley scored her second goal of the day with an assist from freshman Kate Ramsay. Sophomore Whitney Roberson dished one off to freshman Brianna Cella for the third goal of the game. Cella returned the favor for Roberson to score the final goal before halftime.

In the second half Bradley found Charles and freshman Nicole Pett hit freshman Hevyn Diers for the goal. Roberson broke through for an unassisted goal before Bradley capped off things with a hat trick on the assist from Roberson.

Methodist will hit the road again this weekend playing at Ferrum on Saturday and Bridgewater on Sunday.
