NCAA ranks Monarchs 4th in the South region

FAYETTEVILLE, NC-  The Methodist College women's soccer has been popping up all over the place.  The NSCAA ranked the team 10th in the South region.  The NCAA has ranked the Monarchs 4th in the South region while D3Kicks.com ranks the team 8th in the region.  Each organization uses different factors to rank the teams, but regardless, the Monarchs strong push has the team first in the USA South with a 6-0 conference record and 13-3-1 overall record.

The team's scoring offense has been ranked second in Division III women's soccer for the entire country.  After scoring 88 goals in 16 games through October 22th, the NCAA has the Monarchs listed only behind Hardin Simmons.  Junior Chrystal Bradley and freshman Whitney Roberson have also been ranked in individual categories by the NCAA.  Bradley is ranked 2nd in the country for points per game (4.19) and goals per game (1.75).  Roberson is ranked 7th for points per game (3.33) and 10th for goals per game (1.33).  Bradley, Roberson and freshman Michelle Anderson lead the USA South Conference in points and goals while Bradley, Roberson and senior Ashley Sloan lead the conference in assists.

The team will travel to Ferrum on Saturday to play at 1 pm before hosting first round conference action Tuesday at 11:30 am.
