Women's Tennis Receives All-Conference Honors
Juniors Tiffany Tucker and Jenny Smith named to First Team

FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for women's tennis.  A total of 19 student-athletes have been named to the USA South All-Conference teams for women's tennis.  Four Methodist student-athletes are honored with first and second team honors.

Junior Tiffany Tucker is a first team selection.  She is 13-6 on the season at number one singles and 6-1 in the conference.  Tucker and junior Leighton Bull went 13-3 at doubles and also finished 6-1 in the conference.

Junior Jenny Smith was also named to the first team after finishing 15-2 in the regular season and undefeated in the USA South in singles.  Smith went 12-4 in doubles overall and 5-1 in the conference.

Named to the second team for Methodist is Bull and sophomore Shannon Vivian.  In addition to teaming up with Tucker in doubles, Bull finished 11-4 in singles including a 5-1 record in conference play.  Vivian tied with Smith for the most wins this season with a 15-1 record.  Her only loss came against nationally ranked Mary Washington.  Vivian went 6-0 in conference singles and finished 11-2 in doubles.

Methodist will compete in the USA South Conference Tournament in Burlington, NC from April 13-15 with their first match scheduled against Ferrum on Friday at 1 pm.
