April 17, 2008 FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The USA South Athletic Conference has announced its All-Conference awards for women's tennis. Four Monarchs were recognized with head coach Francie Barragan named USA South Coach of the Year. Senior Tiffany Tucker finished 20-4 in the regular season at number one singles this season and went 8-1 in the USA South. Tucker combined with teammate Jenny Smith to finish 18-3 in doubles. Freshman Kaitlin Flaherty went 17-5 at number two singles this season and 15-5 at doubles. In addition to First Team All-Conference honors, Flaherty was tabbed the USA South Rookie of the Year. Smith earned Second Team honors while junior Shannon Vivian was a Honorable Mention selection. The USA South has also recognized an All-Sportsmanship Team including a member from each conference school who has demonstrated integrity and honor during the season.
