April 5, 2008 RALEIGH, NC- The Monarchs' match was moved indoors to get out of the rain and Mary Baldwin was short on players as Methodist cruised to a 9-0 victory. Methodist moves to 13-3 overall and 5-0 in the USA South while Mary Baldwin is 1-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference this season. Seniors Tiffany Tucker and Jenny Smith won 8-0 at number one doubles and seniors Leighton Bull and Lauren Hulse won the number two match 8-0. Senior Sara Seiling and sophomore Lindsey Davis won the third doubles match by default. Tucker won 6-1, 6-0 at number one and Smith won 6-0, 6-0 at number two. Bull took the number three singles match 6-0, 6-0 and Hulse won 6-1, 6-1 at number four. Seiling played number five to win 6-0, 6-0 and freshman Heather Ford won the sixth singles match by default. The Monarchs will host Shenandoah on Sunday at 10 am.
