Monarchs Shut Out King's 9-0
Sophomore Lindsey Davis won 6-2, 6-0 at singles

ORLANDO, FL-  The Methodist women's tennis team won their third straight match with a 9-0 victory over King's College on Monday. Methodist moves to 5-1 overall this season.

The Monarchs took an early 3-0 lead after the doubles sweep. Seniors Tiffany Tucker and Jenny Smith won 8-3 at number one while freshman Kaitlin Flaherty and senior Leighton Bull combined to win 8-1 at number two. Senior Lauren Hulse and junior Shannon Vivian cruised to an 8-0 win at number three.

Methodist continued its winning ways with all six wins at singles, all coming in just two sets. Tucker won 6-3, 6-4 at number one and Flaherty won 6-0, 6-1 at number two. Smith won twelve straight games to win 6-0, 6-0 at number three. Vivian earned the win at number four 6-0, 6-3. Sophomore Lindsey Davis won 6-2, 6-0 at number five and junior Courtney Vail won 6-2, 6-0 at number six.

The Monarchs will take on the College of St. Scholastica in Orlando, FL on Thursday at 11:30 am.
