April 6, 2008 FAYETTEVILLE, NC- The Methodist women's team recognized their five seniors prior to the match on Sunday before the Monarchs cruised to a 9-0 win over Shenandoah. Methodist moves to 14-3 overall and 6-0 in the USA South while Shenandoah is 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the conference this season. Seniors Tiffany Tucker and Jenny Smith opened up with an 8-2 win at number one doubles while seniors Leighton Bull and Lauren Hulse took the number two match 8-0. Senior Sara Seiling and sophomore Lindsey Davis won the third doubles match 8-0 as well. Tucker won 6-1, 6-2 at number one singles while freshman Kaitlin Flaherty won 6-2, 6-0 at number two. Smith took the shutout 6-0, 6-0 at number three while junior Shannon Vivian won 6-0, 6-1 at number four. Bull won 6-1, 6-1 at number five and Hulse wrapped things up with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at number six. The Monarchs will travel to Peace on Tuesday for a 4:15 pm match.
