Located on the campus of Methodist University is a challenging 6,200-yard 18-hole golf course with frontage along the Cape Fear River. Adjacent to the top-notch course is a 17-acre driving range with target landing areas and three short-game practice areas. The practice range has stations for 55 golfers with eight covered tees. The Richard L. Player Center, which opened in the summer of 1996, houses the PGM (Professional Golf Management) and the PTM (Professional Tennis Management) programs as well as offices, a classroom, a conference room, a club repair shop, and a fully-stocked golf pro shop.
