"Lessons from the Sea"

Best-selling author Linda Greenlaw will be on the Methodist University campus to discuss her career as America's only female swordfishing boat captain. Greenlaw was featured in the book The Perfect Storm, which was based on a true story, and also in the film adaptation of the book, starring George Clooney. She has appeared in a popular Discovery Channel series called Swords: Life on the Life, which is about the often brutal lifestyle of New England long line fishermen, and she's the author of eight nonfiction books, a memoir, and two cookbooks.
