Men in Nursing (MUMN)

The purpose of Methodist University Men in Nursing Club is to educate nursing students and promote their involvement in a professional nursing organization as well as provide a framework for nursing students, pre-nursing students, and nurses, as a group, to meet and discuss factors, which affect men as nurses.

MUMN objectives include:

  • Encourage men of all ages to become nurses in promotion of quality and holistic health care.
  • Support men who are nursing students and pre-nursing students in regards to professional growth and to demonstrate to each other as well as to society the increasing contributions being made by men within the nursing profession.
  • Support the American Assembly for Men in Nursing AAMN in their advocacy for continued research, education, and dissemination of information about men's health issues, men in nursing, and nursing knowledge at the local and national levels.
