Favorite thing about MU: The lifelong
friendships that are born here. The many campus organizations and
clubs have served as a means for meeting and getting to know knew
people of all grade levels and ages.
Best moment at MU: My favorite
moments here at Methodist have been the countless nights spent up
late with friends. Whether it was organized with campus activities
or just hanging out in the residents halls, when you are with friends
here it definitely becomes a moment worth remembering.
Favorite thing to do in Fayetteville:
Play golf at local golf courses in the area.
Internships, independent study or other
interesting academic endeavors you’ve done while at MU:
I have been involved with three internships while here at Methodist.
The first was at Pinehurst where I completed a retail golf internship
during the 2005 US Open. The job consisted of setting up, maintaining,
and tearing down the merchandise pavilion for the ‘05 US Open.
The last two Summers I completed an internship at Baltusrol Golf
Club in New Jersey. While at Baltusrol I worked in merchandising,
taught junior golfers in the area, assisted in the coordination
of member tournaments, fielded member complaints and worked as a
starter at the club. The job was all encompassing, touching on almost
every part of the head professional field.
Career aspirations: My ultimate
career goal is to own, develop, design, and promote businesses and
organizations within the golf business.
Something about yourself that people
would be surprised to know: I love to write, sing, and play
the guitar.
Favorite movie:Lord of the
Rings trilogy.
Favorite TV show: HOUSE
Favorite book:Digital Fortress
(Dan Brown)
Favorite color: Green
Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?
I prefer the beach
My time at Methodist University has
been the best of my life thus far. Everything you do here is fun.
I have a great group of friends— there is real camaraderie.
I just got elected SGA (Student Government Association) president.
My agenda is to make use of the open communication that already
exists here among students, faculty and the administration.
Students have a real voice on this campus, and I want to be sure
we exercise it.
