Information Sessions

The Methodist University PA Program information sessions are for those interested in applying to the program. Sessions will cover the following:

Attendees are asked to bring unofficial transcripts of any college work completed, only if you have additional questions regarding your prerequisite deficiencies.

Dates are chosen a month in advance because of scheduling changes with the didactic classes. If there are no dates listed for the current month, there are no sessions scheduled. You must call for an individual appointment.

Those interested in attending must confirm attendance by emailing Jennifer Mish, Director of Admissions, at jmish@methodist.edu by 5:00 pm the day before each session. Please include first and last name, email address, and telephone number where you can be reached. Due to the University's spam blocker, some emails are not received. If a response is not received to confirm your spot within 24 hours, please call our office at (800) 488-7110 ext. 7615.

Sessions should last no longer than 45 minutes. There will be a "question and answer" period following the presentation.

Out of respect to others in the session and to avoid interruptions, please arrive on time, preferably 5-10 minutes prior to each session.

Information for the day of your visit

Where

Most sessions will be held in the Medical Lecture Hall facility (if the location is changed, you will be informed) and directions to campus may found on our website. Our PA facilities, once at the campus, are located to the right of the BB&T just prior to entering our main campus. You will see 3 buildings dedicated to the PA program (the Academic Building, Medical Lecture Hall, Anatomy Lab). The lecture hall is 2nd building to the right of the bank and is the newest building closest to Ramsey St. It is clearly labeled Medical Lecture Hall.

Parking

You may park anywhere in our lot.

Time of Arrival

We will begin promptly at 10:00 am, and as mentioned above, visitors are expected to arrive at least 5-10 minutes prior to the start time.

Out of professional courtesy, if you are unable to make the session due to work or personal reasons please call (910) 630-7615 or email jmish@methodist.edu so we can plan accordingly. We will be happy to accommodate you on a different date.

Office Hours & Location

The Medical Science Academic Building is the two-story building to the right of the BB&T bank, just prior to entering main campus.

Prospective applicants who would like to visit the program are encouraged to attend information sessions hosted each month. These sessions are typically small and informal, but tend to cover all aspects of applying and enrolling in our program.Time is reserved afterwards to answer individual questions and the session is an open forum for others to ask questions that typically generate great discussion. Attendance at a session should be reserved via email.

Applicants who cannot attend sessions are respectfully asked to make an appointment with the Admissions Director prior to visiting the building to ensure the availability of time and the presence of the admissions representative. If the admissions representative is not available, please feel free to send questions via email and your email will be returned with 24 hours.
