All applicants to the Methodist University PA Program must apply
through CASPA, the centralized application service; www.caspaonline.org.
The MUPAP does not utilize a supplemental application. Transcripts
do not need to be sent unless you are updating your class information.
The program has ONE start date each year (mid- August).
Applicants applying for entrance in August 2011 may begin the application
on April 14, 2010 with a deadline of March 1, 2011. Applications
and GRE scores received after March 1 will not be accepted. Because
the program operates on rolling admissions up until the deadline,
it is possible our class can be filled prior to the March 1 deadline.
As a result, applicants should begin the application process early
in the cycle.
Application tips:
- Allow yourself plenty of time to fill out the CASPA application
and submit online. Do not plan on filling out your application
in one day and submitting it on the deadline. The average applicant
will spend a week or more completing this application. You may
log on and off the CASPA website to work on the application over
time, but DO start early. Starting early will allow you to resolve
any problems that may arise so that you are not at risk of missing
deadlines.
- Log on to CASPA at least once weekly to reference your application
status. Constant follow up on the arrival of letters of recommendation
and official transcripts from ALL colleges/universities are the
responsibility of the applicant. Follow up will again allow you
to resolve any issues in the arrival of these required documents.
Documents that need to be submitted to CASPA are:
GRE scores are to be sent directly to the MUPAP and must be submitted
to the program for consideration for an interview. Our institutional
code is 5426
An official letter will be mailed once your application is received.
Those candidates who are most qualified
will be invited for an on-campus interview. In the past, interviews
are held on one Saturday a month beginning in October and lasting
until we fill our class. If accepted, applicants must complete all
requirements before the start date in August. Should one fail to
do so, he or she will forfeit the seat.
If an applicant is not chosen for an interview, his or her application
is rolled over for consideration the following month.
