Tee It Up for Healthcare!

King's Grant Golf and Country Club
Since 2007 the PA Program has embarked on many activities to benefit
the healthcare community of Fayetteville and beyond. As another
year approaches, the students in the Class of 2011 hope to continue
this tradition by hosting their first annual golf tournament at
King's Grant Golf and Country Club on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Profits
from this event will benefit both The Care Clinic of Fayetteville
and aid in the funding of student registration and travel fees to
the national review for the Physician Assistant National Certifying
Exam (PANCE).
The Care Clinic is a free treatment center that provides medical
care to low income and uninsured residents of Cumberland County.
It first opened its doors in 1993 and operates under four major
principles: Compassion, Assistance, Referral, and Education, all
of which are vital components of healthcare today.
Furthermore, the Methodist University PA Program has emerged as
one of the top programs in the state of NC. Our success is determined
by our high pass rate of 98% on the PANCE. Every fall our students
choose to attend a national review session just prior to their testing
date. All review sessions are held out of state with some being
as far away as Houston, TX and Denver, CO. Due to the demands of
our curriculum students do not have the opportunity to work while
enrolled, making sessions such as these sometimes very difficult
to attend due to limited funds.
If you would like to participate please click
here to download the tournament brochure. There is a participation
level for everyone, allowing individuals and corporate organizations
to make a meaningful impact on the educational development of our
future healthcare providers of Fayetteville and the Carolinas. We
are confident your contributions will help make our event a success!
