Welcome to PGA Golf Management!
Since the first class in 1986 there have been over 1,000 alumni from the PGA Golf Management Program at Methodist University. The success of our students and alumni is one of the main factors contributing to the Program achieving national recognition. The Program has prided itself on having the largest PGA staff with 6 PGA Professionals (113 combined years of experience at Methodist University and 104 combined years of membership in the PGA) providing students with unlimited golf instruction, a variety of teaching methodologies and real world application. In addition, the on campus golf course known as “Downback” is for the exclusive use of PGA/PGM students, and includes a practice facility with short game area, putting green, bunkers, and 30 hitting stations.
I look forward to personally meeting with each graduating senior to ensure career job placement in the golf industry. Upon graduation and acceptance of your first position in the golf industry, you will become a PGA member. It is always an honor to see each graduate become a colleague in the PGA of America.
Our program leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, or Financial Economics with a concentration in PGA Golf Management. The PGA Program requires each student to successfully complete the PGA Playing Ability Test(PAT) and levels 1, 2, and 3 of the PGA 2.0 curriculum, and sixteen months of internships while attending Methodist University. For more information on the PGA Golf Management Program, contact PGA Golf Management Recruiter at 800-488-7110 ext 7278 or 910-630-7278.
I look forward to meeting you and your family when you make your college visits.
