Dear Members of the Methodist University Community,
The murder yesterday of a faculty member at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill sits heavy on our hearts at Methodist University. We offer our prayers and condolences to the family and friends of the deceased faculty member and to the entire Chapel Hill community. And we pray that we as a state and as a country can find a way to move forward, together, to end our national epidemic of firearm violence.
Understandably, this violence may cause stress, anxiety, or depression for some individuals. The counseling staff at The Well is available to support any students who may be struggling with this or other issues. Faculty and staff can find support through the MU Employee Assistance Program.
