the major in Political Science offers a rigorous course of study
for students seeking exciting and rewarding careers in public administration,
politics, law, government service, non-profit organizations, the
military or even business. Through a 39-hour curriculum consisting
of a broad array of courses, students acquire indispensable critical
thinking, leadership, and ethical reasoning skills. Graduates of
the Political Science program are given a true liberal arts foundation

of Political Science, was honored as an "Outstanding Citizen"
by the NC Center for Voter Education as one of their Spectrum of

Dr. Chris Cronin, Assistant Professor
of Political Science, was appointed to the Executive Council of
