Because Methodist University
is a community of diverse interests, there are numerous publications
designed to appeal to our unique audiences.
MU Today – A quarterly magazine
for alumni and friends of Methodist University, one of which is
the Annual Report of Donors. Publication highlights faculty, staff
and student accomplishments, athletic and alumni news and campus
events.
smallTALK – Campus
newspaper which is designed by students, for students, and
distributed tri-weekly.
Carillon – The student
annual is free to currently-enrolled, full-time students
that have been at the University for at least two semesters.
Yearbooks may be purchased by students who were full-time
for only one semester for $12.50 and the public may purchase
a yearbook for $25.
Tapestry – An art
and literary magazine published annually featuring a collection
of creative and critical writing and artwork by students,
alumni and faculty. The magazine is free to those who request
a copy.
Poetry
Chapbooks – Longleaf Press
is a non-profit literary press housed at Methodist University that
specializes in quality poetry chapbooks from authors living in the
Southeast. Area poets submit works to an annual contest for a chance
to have their chapbook published. Chapbooks may be purchased (see
the Web site for details). Excerpts from all of the chapbooks can
be found at www.methodist.edu/longleaf.
