Campus Parking and Vehicle Registration

Do I have to register my vehicle in order to park on the MU campus?

Methodist University students, faculty, and staff members are required to register with the Department of Public Safety all vehicles parked or driven on campus.

Where do I go to register my vehicle on campus?

Bring the required documents (see below) to the Department of Public Safety's office in the South Administration Building on Soccer Drive Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Can I obtain my campus vehicle registration via the internet or by mail?

At this time, campus vehicle registrations are issued in person only.

How much does it cost to register a vehicle on campus?

Academic Year (Resident and Commuter Students): $175.00
Single Semester (Resident and Commuter Students): $95.00
Full-Year Evening: $75.00
Single Semester Evening: $45.00
Summer Session (Day or Evening Students): $45.00
Additional Vehicle: $20.00

What forms of payment are accepted for campus vehicle registrations?

Only cash and checks are accepted at the Department of Public Safety's Office. However, cash, checks, debit and credit cards are accepted at the University's Business Office.

What documents are required to register my vehicle on campus?

Bring the vehicle's valid registration, your valid driver's license, proof of MU affiliation, and the appropriate fee.

How do I transfer my campus vehicle registration to a different vehicle during the academic year?

Remove the campus registration decal as best you can and bring it, along with the registration of the new vehicle to the Department of Public Safety's office Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

How do I get a new campus registration decal if my vehicle's windshield is damaged and has to be replaced?

Are Resident Students allowed to park in the Clark/Trustees Lot or Reeves Lot on weekdays?

Only after 4:00 pm! The Clark/ Trustees Lot and the Reeves Lot are reserved for the exclusive use of Commuter Students, faculty, and staff mem-bers Monday - Friday from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.

How do I appeal a campus parking ticket?

Go to the Office of Student Development in the Berns Student Center Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm to pick up an Appeal Form. Remember, you only have three (3) business days to appeal a parking ticket - don't delay!
