Studying Abroad

Does MU offer opportunities to study abroad?

For Education abroad options, students at Methodist University can choose from the following options:

  1. Short term courses abroad. These are courses that are led by MU faculty. Some recent trips include Italy, France (Honor's Program), Guatemala (Business), and England (Shakespeare). Future trips on the horizon include: UK (Professional Golf/Tennis Management), Guatemala (Biology), International Relations (Guatemala), & Financial Economics, (Panama, Sweden, Guatemala). Stay tuned or visit the Study Abroad Office for more information!
  2. Exchanges. Exchange programs allow MU students to travel to our exchange partner universities for a semester while still paying MU tuition and retaining the majority of their financial aid/scholarships. Students pay the host institution Room and Board. Example destinations are listed under active programs. For more information about exchanges and financial support, please email for more information.
  3. "Study Abroad" programs allow MU students to travel to various institutions directly or through a Third Party Provider (such as GlobaLinks, Central College Abroad, CIEE, and IES). Countless programs and destinations are available for students, however institutional aid does not travel on "study abroad" programs. For more information about study abroad programs, email or stop by the office to set up an appointment with a study abroad advisor.
