"There will always be a special place in my heart for
Methodist and all of my professors there. Had it not been for the
education I received there, I would not be in the position I am
in today." - Kenyette Fowler, 2006 Graduate, Currently
in Grad School for Social Work at UNC-Chapel Hill
Our
Mission
The mission of the Social Work Program at Methodist University
is to pursue human well-being and the alleviation of oppression
and poverty through the education of competent entry level professional
generalist social workers for service to individuals, families,
groups, organizations, and communities, with special attention to
the people of Cumberland County, North Carolina and its adjacent
areas.
Congratulations to our 6 spring graduates for
scoring at the 86th percentile on the Social Work Area Concentration
Achievement Test. This score is the highest in the history of the
program.
