MU Home » Academics » The Writing Center » Veterans Writing Collective Welcome! The next Veterans Writing Collective workshop will be Saturday, May 4th, from 2-4 PM in room 325 in the Trustees building. As a prompt for the month, perhaps look at the last ten years of the war in Iraq. What are your feelings? Is there a story that you feel has not been told? What was the most climactic part of the war for you? Is there a character you encountered? Try to write 200 words of a story answering one of these questions. As always, you are free to work on anything. We look forward to seeing
you. The mission of the Veterans Writing Collective
is to encourage the art of writing and to provide a workshop environment
in which participants offer honest, positive feedback on members' writing.
The group is open to writers of all genres—including poetry, fiction,
creative nonfiction, memoir, drama, and journaling—and is open to
all active-duty military, veterans, and family members. |
