Degrees:

B.A., Temple University; Ph.D., University of California at San Diego

Bio:

I grew up in eastern Pennsylvania with two years in Italy thrown in for variety. After studying history, sociology, philosophy, political science, and literature in college, I focused on modern European history for my graduate work. For several years I got wide-ranging again and taught philosophy, sociology, and human development at several colleges and universities in the San Francisco Bay area, then settled down to teach history at Methodist University.
