B.F.A., University of North Carolina at Wilmington; M.F.A., Emerson College


Assistant Director of Methodist University's Writing Center, earned a M.F.A. at Emerson College in Boston, MA in 2005. She was published in Our State magazine in November 2007 and October 2008 issues under the byline of Lee Royal. She had two poems published in Kakalak 2015, had one poem published in The Gathering, and will also have a poem published in Kakalak this fall. She also was a finalist in the Torch Creative Nonfiction prize this summer. Before coming to Methodist University, Carrah taught composition at a local community college and coordinated its writing lab. She also participates in a monthly writers' meeting with other local writers. In her free time, Carrah enjoys writing and spending time with her husband and son
