Bio:

Dr. Heyward has over 45 years of experience teaching, mentoring and guiding students from a multitude of diverse backgrounds.  She prides herself in the five words which support her Philosophy of Education, “Look, Listen, Learn, Laugh and Love.” During her lifetime as an educator she has continually expressed to her students the need to provide all students with the fundamental skills needed to be productive citizens. She is constantly being asked by her many students to write a book of all the interesting true stories she has gathered over the years.  Perhaps she will get it done very soon.
