According to the Methodist University By-Laws, “Any employee of the University who has been employed for a minimum of ten years and who has been officially retired from the University under the provisions of its retirement regulations may be granted the emeritus classification by the Board of Trustees. This election shall be for life or until revoked by the Board of Trustees.”
