As a tip of the hat to its mission statement, Methodist University prides itself on a providing educational and cultural services and resources to the community. One of the ways this is achieved is through the arts. From annual lecture series that allow the campus to think critically about religion, philosophy, or ethics to music events that display the talent and creativity of our music students to art galleries that showcase the outstanding visual gifts of the MU community, the arts are a staple of Methodist University. We invite you to explore the many ways our campus discovers the arts.

Lecture Series

Methodist University is home to several endowed lecture series that bring to campus scholars and experts in the field to speak on one or more topics.

Friends of Music Guest Artist Series

The Friends of Music Guest Artist Series welcomes four accomplished artists to campus each year to give a master class to students and hold a public concert in the evening.

Yuletide Feaste

The Yuletide Feaste is a Renaissance-style dinner engagement featuring an elegant four-course meal, a festive banquet hall setting, a large cast of costumed characters straight out of Tudor England, and MU students singing carols appropriate for the Christmas season.

MU Theater Current Season

MU Theater offers one performance per semester that is open to the public and showcases the talents of its students and other guest performers.

Performing Arts Events

The Division of Fine & Performing Arts hosts two All-Choirs concerts, two Faculty recitals, and four Fayetteville Symphonic Band & MU Concert Band concerts each year (and sometimes even more). Visit our Events page and filter the list for Performing Arts Events.
