Bio:

Dr. Laura Anderson is Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at Methodist University. She primarily teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice, Terrorism and Homeland Security, Victimology, and Research Methods. Her areas of expertise include domestic violence, victimology issues, differential outcomes in the criminal justice system, women in the criminal justice system, and safety issues. Her most recent awarded grants focus on domestic violence fatalities, as well as perceptions on ride-share safety. She is a former Production Editor of Police Practice and Research. She received her M.S. in Criminal Justice and Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Virginia Commonwealth University and she completed her undergraduate work at Duke University.
