Methodist University Chorale Presents Singing Valentines

The Methodist University Chorale will present singing valentines in the greater Fayetteville area on Feb. 12, 2015 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Each singing valentine will be presented with a special package of gifts, including a red rose and personalized Valentine’s Day card.

“The singing valentines fundraiser that the MU Chorale does is an adaptation of a similar fundraiser used by the Barbershop Harmony Society,” said Dr. Michael Martin, director of chorale activities and Music Education. “It is really something to see the expressions on the faces who are remembered by their loved ones. It’s a happy day and well-worth the joy it brings to people.”

The Chorale will offer three options for singing valentines. The “My Phone-y Valentine” costs $10, and will include a personalized four-part harmony telephone greeting to the recipient. The “Regular Delivery” valentine, $25, will deliver your singing valentine anywhere in the greater Fayetteville area, within a four-hour window of the time frame you request. The “Straight to the Heart” singing valentine, which costs $35, will ensure your valentine is delivered within 10 minutes of the requested time. Both “Regular Delivery” and “Straight to the Heart” valentines will be delivered in person with a red rose and a personalized Valentine’s Day card. All proceeds go to benefit the MU Chorale’s upcoming concert tour to Philadelphia.

Singing Valentines can be ordered any time until Feb. 11 at noon. For more information, or to order your singing valentine, contact Martin at or 910.630.7153.
