Jeffrey L. Jones, baritone, is well versed in both stage and concert repertoire. He is an associate professor of music at Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Jones was awarded a Doctor of Musical Arts in vocal performance at Arizona State University, where he also received a Master of Music in opera performance. He earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas and is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy. During his studies, Jones worked under Andrew Campbell, Jerry Doan, Harold Heiberg, Walter Huff, Jeffrey Norris, Juanita Peters, William Reber, and Eckart Sellheim. His stage credits include Escamillo in Carmen, Papageno in Magic Flute, Sharpless in Madama Butterfly, Belcore in Elixir of Love, and Father in Hansel and Gretel, among others, and he has performed with multiple other artists.

Pianist Philip Powell has performed throughout the U.S. His concerts are frequently heard on South Carolina Public Radio, and he appears regularly as an adjudicator and guest teacher for competitions and master classes throughout the U.S. Locally, he has served as president of the Coastal Concert Association, music director of the Festival of Music and Art at Pawleys Island, founding director of the Musicale de Geneve series, a member of the board of directors of the Long Bay Symphony, and is a current member of the board of directors for the Litchfield Dance Academy. Powell studied at the Aspen Music Festival under the late Edith Oppens. Powell joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 1988. He earned a bachelor’s degree in musical arts from the University of Oklahoma, a master’s degree in music, and received a Doctor of Music from Indiana University.
