Directed by Dr. Daniel McCloud
Rehearses: Monday & Wednesday 1:00-1:50 p.m.

The Jazz Monarchs afford students at Methodist University the opportunity to perform a variety of jazz and contemporary styles. Membership in the Jazz Monarchs is open to all students regardless of academic major, and is available to instrumentalists as well as vocalists who are seeking to enrich their experience in jazz music. While primarily designed for saxophone, trombone, trumpet, and rhythm (piano, bass, guitar, and percussion), any students wishing to perform in this ensemble should contact the Director for part availability. The Jazz Monarchs perform several times throughout the fall and spring semesters, both on campus and off. Rehearsals for the band are Monday and Wednesday from 1:00pm to 1:50pm and students wishing to receive academic credit should enroll in MUS 3980 in the fall; 3990 in the spring.
