Zach Sweet, Class of 2014
Business Administration/PGA Golf Management

The thing that is so different about Methodist (and truthfully my deciding factor) is the environment that is created by the people. Everyone here is genuinely interested in me as a person and cares about my personal success during my college experience. Even though I am 16 hours away from my real home, the people at MU make me feel like I am at home. Methodist immediately adopted me into the community and into the family. I knew right away that I couldn’t possibly receive better treatment anywhere else.

While at Methodist, I completed an internship every summer. I interned at Hidden Creek Golf Club in New Jersey and The Broadmoor in Colorado, and I spent five months working at Cape Cod National in Massachusetts. All three internships were absolutely amazing experiences and they offered the hands-on application that no class could possibly replace. Additionally, internship opportunities provide you with the ability to grow your network while meeting outstanding mentors in the industry.

My internships were honestly some of the best experiences I had through my college career, which is saying a lot because I had so many enjoyable moments during my years here at Methodist.
