We invite non-monetary donations of real and personal property or tangible assets that benefit MU initiatives or programs. In-kind donations are acknowledged with a letter from the University. However, it is the donor’s responsibility to provide the fair market value of the in-kind donation on their tax forms.

These are a wonderful way to honor a former classmate, former professor, or loved one and to recognize their legacy.
You may specify where your MU gift goes – to scholarships, to programs, to facilities, or athletics. These are “restricted” gifts. Donations without specified designations are considered “unrestricted” and will be allocated to the most pressing need determined by the University.
Thousands of student success stories unfold every year at MU because of scholarships. Endowed Scholarships are permanently invested funds that grow and yield financial support for generations of students. Annual Scholarships can be renewed year after year. We encourage support for all MU student clubs and organizations! These important donations are for the sole benefit of club members and activities. Therefore, these gifts are not eligible for charitable tax deductions.

Automatic deductions from your credit or debit card add up to a significant annual contribution, and you won’t receive quarterly direct mail solicitations in the mail. Visit the online gift form and check the box to “Make this a sustaining gift.”
