Internships & Experiential Learning

Davis Memorial Library facing the Quad

Purpose

Methodist University is committed to providing quality internships for students. The MU Internships & Experiential Learning Office provides information and guidance to undergraduate students to enable them to apply for and secure internships in order to gain valuable work experience outside of the classroom. Students will be able to develop entry-level skills in specific occupations and practice the basic career management skills necessary to obtain, sustain, and advance in their fields.

Internships offered for academic credit are carefully structured work experiences in which students pursue intentional, faculty-guided learning objectives and actively reflect on what is being learned during the experience. These internships are relevant to the students’ vocational and career goals, promote personal development, and are monitored and evaluated for academic credit.
