Learning Environment
At the Methodist University Cape Fear Valley Health School of Medicine, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. Professionalism, mutual respect, and collegiality are the foundation of our community.
Mistreatment—including intimidation, belittlement, humiliation, or discrimination—has no place in medical education. We maintain a policy of zero tolerance for student mistreatment and are dedicated to addressing concerns promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
Students are encouraged to report any incidents of mistreatment through established reporting channels without fear of retaliation. By upholding these standards, we ensure that every learner can thrive academically, professionally, and personally in an environment built on trust and respect.
Submitting a Concern
We are committed to a professional, respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment. Mistreatment of any kind is not tolerated, and students are encouraged to report concerns without fear of retaliation.
All reports will be managed in accordance with established policies, including but not limited to those of the School of Medicine’s Learning Environment and Student Mistreatment Policy.
Please note, reports of discrimination or harassment based on protected status, including sexual assault or violence, interpersonal violence, or stalking, should be made to Methodist University Title IX Office.
