Bio:
Dr. Cheryl H. Dodson is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of nursing experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from North Carolina State University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, and a Master of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Business Management, a Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Nurse Practitioner Certification from Union University in Tennessee.
Her professional background spans intensive care, perioperative care, psychiatric mental health, case management, and population health. Dr. Dodson is certified in case management and nursing education. Dr. Dodson’s doctoral project focused on developing and implementing a Business Plan for an Enhanced Integrated Care Management Program. She is also published in the field of death, dying, and grief.
Since Fall 2018, Dr. Dodson has taught various courses in the Methodist University School of Nursing, including psychiatric mental health nursing, fundamentals, adult health, community nursing, nursing informatics, and pre-nursing.
A Fayetteville native, Dr. Dodson lives with her family, dogs, and cat. She has strong ties to the community and is actively involved with the church, our military, and veterans. Â Passionate about healthcare and the essential role of nurses, she is dedicated to shaping the next generation of nurse graduates, equipping them to navigate the challenges of providing compassionate care in an ever-evolving healthcare environment.
