Bio:

Dr. Jordan Bettleyon has been part of the Methodist University Kinesiology Department since August 2023 as an Assistant Professor in Exercise & Sport Science and Kinesiology. Jordan is a Board-Certified Exercise Physiologist and Athletic Trainer. Prior to academic appointment, Jordan was hired to the Athletic Training staff of Methodist University in August of 2018 where his primary responsibilities were with the women’s soccer and men’s baseball teams.

Jordan is a native of Pennsylvania where he attended Bloomsburg University for his Master’s degree in Athletic Training and Bachelor’s in Exercise Science. While at Methodist University, Jordan was able to complete his Doctorate in Athletic Training through Moravian University in Bethlehem, Pa where he was named Student of the Year in 2020.

Along with his current academic responsibilities, Jordan continues to provide clinical expertise to the student-athletes of MU along with NCFC Academy Soccer, North Carolina Olympic Development Programs, and USA Baseball.

Jordan’s research focus is on the rehabilitation of athletic injuries and sports performance. He is a lecturer in Sports Performance and Recovery Techniques at multiple conferences and continues to provide research in these areas.
