Bio:

Keri Walters, M.S. serves as the Assistant Provost for Transfer Initiatives. Prior to her arrival at Methodist University, Keri served as the Registrar at Columbia College Chicago for more than 6 years and as the Special Assistant to the Provost for Transfer Initiatives for more than 3 years. In each of these roles, Keri dedicated herself to ensuring a smooth transition for transfer students and built a thriving transfer services program from the ground up. At Methodist University, Keri works with partners at key community colleges to build clear pathways for incoming transfer students that will facilitate their success and timely degree completion. Keri also works closely with faculty, staff, and academic leaders across the institution to ensure equitable, state of the art processes and operations are in place to serve transfer students well throughout all phases of the student lifecycle. Keri also has a strong background in academic advising, residence life, career services and curriculum management.

Keri earned her Master of Science in College Student Personnel Services at Miami University (Ohio) and her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Music Theory at Ashland University (Ohio). She has presented at multiple professional conferences, including the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA), and the National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students (NISTS). She enjoys playing the piano and attending local theatre and music productions, as well as hiking in the woods and taking trips to the beach.
