Bio:
Dr. Shannon K. Shastry began her career in higher education in 2010 as a Residential Coordinator at William Peace University (formerly Peace College). In 2012, she returned to Methodist University, serving as the Residential Coordinator for Cumberland Hall before advancing to the role of Director of Multicultural Affairs. From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Shastry served as Associate Dean of Students at Salem College. She subsequently held several leadership positions at Virginia Tech and Radford University. Returning to her alma mater for a second time, Dr. Shastry has come full circle in her higher education journey. As Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life at Methodist University, she remains passionate about mentoring, supporting, and inspiring students as they navigate their MU journey.
