Genesis came to the role of Global Ambassador for Moral Courage® after co-starring in the award-winning documentary, “Mississippi Turning”, which follows Genesis as she protests Confederate Heritage Month, faces backlash, and then discovers the power of a paradox: that she can stand her ground and, at the same time, create common ground.
Genesis expresses her advocacy in multiple ways — as a musician, visual artist, and published poet. Raised in Biloxi and based in Atlanta, she now travels the world to teach the Moral Courage skill set so that more of us have the tools to heal not just our societies, but also ourselves.
