Greetings at Homecoming 2025 football gameThe week kicked off with a Pep Rally, gearing up Monarchs for a busy Homecoming week and weekend. The annual Campus Bonfire brought out food trucks, music, and big appetites, while Fraternity & Sorority Life events and athletic showcases set the tone for a campus buzzing with energy ahead of Saturday’s football game. A student favorite, Bingo Night, packed the Berns Student Center, as did multiple other events.

MU volleyball honored its seniors with a heartfelt Senior Night matchup, and seven new members were inducted into the Monarch Hall of Fame at the Athletics Awards Ceremony, celebrating years of achievement and dedication to the green and gold.

Alumni were greeted with a Welcome Reception on Friday and the popular Alumni Awards Ceremony was on Saturday. In addition, on-campus alumni softball, and men’s and women’s basketball games brought the competitive spirit from diamond to court; there were dozens of Monarch reunions; and there was a candlelight memorial remembering alumni and friends who have passed away since we were last together for Homecoming 2024.

On Maintenance Drive on campus, Homecoming tailgate fun filled the air Saturday with music, grilling, and laughter as Monarchs reunited. All attention then turned to the field as the Monarch football team celebrated its seniors just before kickoff.

From bonfires and food trucks to class celebrations, this year’s Homecoming was a reminder of what it means to be a “Forever Monarch”.
