Homecoming Welcome Reception From school spirit and unforgettable traditions to honoring the past and celebrating the present, Homecoming 2026 brought our Methodist University community back together for a week to remember.

From cookouts, the chalk the walk, bingo, and art exhibition to the annual bonfire, Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet, Candlelight Memorial, Alumni Award Ceremony, and all the athletic events, the week offered something for everyone and created lasting memories for students, alumni, and the entire community. Spirits were so high even the rain couldn’t slow down the Monarchs!

Photo highlights from Homecoming will be posted on Methodist University Flickr later this week.

During halftime at the football game on Saturday, Monarchs had the opportunity to celebrate and recognize some alumni accomplishments and contributions to their communities. The ceremony was an opportunity to celebrate their dedication and recognize the lasting impact they have made both during and after their time at the school. These recipients were recognized at a special event earlier in the day, as well.

Athletic Events

Men's Soccer Homecoming matchHomecoming week wouldn’t be homecoming week without some athletic events. This year, our Monarchs brought plenty of excitement to the court and the field.

On Tuesday, the volleyball team earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Pfeiffer before carrying that momentum into a dominant 3-0 sweep of Johnson & Wales. On the football field Saturday afternoon, the Monarchs battled hard against Southern Virginia but ultimately fell just short. Despite the tough loss, the Homecoming spirit remained strong as students, alumni, and families came together to enjoy the pregame tailgate and show their support for the team. Then, the men’s soccer team finished off the week with a dominating performance and a 4-0 victory over Brevard.
