Each year, Loyalty Day brings together alumni, students, faculty, staff, and community supporters to invest in the next generation of Monarchs. It is a celebration of the people, supporters, and moments that shaped past generations, and it invites that same community to come together in support of future generations.

It is a celebration of the people, supporters, and moments that shaped past generations, and it invites that same community to come together in support of future generations.
This year’s theme, “The Power in One Pride,” is the idea that just one gift can make a lasting difference. That concept, Senior Director of Development Jalisha Pone says, has defined Methodist University since its founding.
“For generations, Methodist University has been shaped by the loyalty of those who believed in its mission and its students,” Pone said. “Loyalty Day honors that history and reminds us that, when one person gives, we continue a legacy of opportunity, faith, and transformation for those who will follow.”
Gifts to the Loyalty Fund support scholarships, faculty development, and programs that improve the overall Methodist University experience. Ninety-nine percent of MU undergraduate students receive scholarships and support.
Loyalty at MU goes beyond financial giving. It shows up in mentorship, leadership, volunteer service, and advocacy. This is seen through the Loyalty Day Ambassadors, who help amplify the message by sharing why MU matters to them through favorite memories, a professor who made an impact, or how their time at Methodist University shaped their future. By using the Ambassador Toolkit and posting with the hashtag #MULoyaltyDay, they help turn their stories into momentum.
Jessica Lopez, director of Annual Giving, says the day is ultimately about what that support means to students.
“Loyalty Day is a reminder to our students that they are not alone, that an entire Pride believes in them and is cheering them on,” Lopez said. “Every gift, no matter the size, helps open doors through scholarships, resources, and opportunities that shape their future. Your support gives students confidence, hope, and the ability to keep pushing forward. This is The Power of One Pride.”
Loyalty Day is a 24-hour chance to show what that pride looks like in action. From midnight to 11:59 p.m., supporters can support by giving, sharing their story, wearing green and gold, and using the official Ambassador Toolkit to spread the word.
At Methodist University, Loyalty Day is One Pride coming together for one day for a lasting impact.
