Singer Nick Jonas will perform at Methodist University on Monday, Sept. 28, in the March F. Riddle Center.

Tickets will be free for all full-time current Methodist University students with a valid MU ID, and will be given on a first come, first served basis, starting Monday, Aug. 24 in the Berns Student Center. The cost of tickets for faculty, staff, and alumni of the university, should they become available, will be $10, with a maximum of two tickets per person, and will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 1. Interested alumni should email alumnioffice@methodist.edu. Beginning Sept. 1, the general public will have access to a limited number of available tickets for a cost of $20.

Jonas was selected through a survey sent to Methodist University students in April, asking who they wanted to see perform on campus. The 21-year-old singer and songwriter stepped out on his own after achieving worldwide fame with The Jonas Brothers, a Grammy-nominated group which sold 20 million albums and toured the globe several times. After the group separated, Jonas continued writing and recording on his own. Jonas’ current album, his third solo album, features the hit single “Jealous,” as well as collaborations with rapper Angel Haze and singer Demi Lovato.

“We are so excited to host Nick Jonas on campus this fall. We know he will put on a great show for our students,” said Doris Jackson Munoz, director of the Student Involvement Center at MU. “We hope it will be a night they always remember.”
