Announcing the 2026 Alumni Award Recipients
The Methodist University Alumni Association is proud to announce this year’s distinguished 2026 Alumni Award Recipients. These exceptional individuals will be honored during a special awards ceremony as part of our Homecoming festivities on October 17 at 10 a.m. in the Matthews Ministry Center. Join us in celebrating their outstanding achievements and contributions to the Methodist University community.
- Distinguished Alumni Award: Col. George E. Lewis III ’93
- Distinguished Young Alumni Award: Caitlin Pollard ’19
- Outstanding Alumni Service Award: Jackson Bingham ’19
- Outstanding Faculty/Staff Award: Mareion T.J. Gill ’15
- Philanthropist Award: Carolyn and George Armstrong ’68
Nominations
Nominations for the alumni awards are accepted from January 1 through March 31 each year and the awards are presented at Homecoming. For more information check out the awards descriptions and nomination forms below:

Distinguished Alumni Award
Outstanding career achievement and service of the highest order to his or her community
Distinguished Young Alumni Award
Must have earned first MU degree within the last 10 years. Outstanding voluntary or other public service on a local, state, national, or global level.
Outstanding Alumni Service Award
Outstanding service and dedication to Methodist University Alumni Association
Outstanding Faculty/Staff Award
Must have demonstrated a high level of accomplishment within his or her official duties to Methodist University
Philanthropist Award
Must have provided outstanding and generous financial support to Methodist University
Methodist University Athletic Hall of Fame
The MU Hall of Fame honors alumni student-athletes, coaches and administrators who have set the very highest bar in athletic performance for the Monarchs.
